Bleeding edge beta - to try if you dare.

Dex is on vacation so, I posted this to a.b.test.

The beta is bleeding edge.

"Encrypted - don't bother. [1/1] "testing567.rar" yEnc 8131428 Bytes a.b.test"

@lonely.com> - Is the FROM - I have NO idea what the japanese means - I just use it to test Unicode.

Password is: three:fiddy

What's inside is a renamed .rar file. You want to save and rename it to something.rar.

I highly recommend a virus scan before you actually run it. Just to be safe. It's just raw files so, if you don't know what to do with them you might want to wait till Dex can post the beta installer.

It's got a crash fix for a fairly major bug and other hardening. I hope it'll stop the intermittent crashing some people experience.

= Download: Change free space checking to a different variable returned by GetFreeSpaceEx
= Display: Re-did the free space warning window to make it automatically clear when free space is cleared. Should make it easier
to see which drive is full and should work around problem where diskfree space call fails.
= Filename: removed 24 char cap in $(FILENAME). FF wanted full length filenames
= Internal: Extensive changes to more secure copies of certain functions and removal of unicode functions which were inherently error prone.
= AutoPAR: Fixed issue where the PARS and CBR's were in a different folder and the par never left the download list.
= AutoPAR: Check of on disk file is more thorough. Fixes FF's issue where the subs unrared to exactly the same name as an existing file in a larger set.

Running 64bit version.

QuickCBR is just something I let one of the IRC boys play with. It'll read CBR/CBZ and SFE files (image database storage in Newsbin). You have to hook the association up by hand if you want to try it. It's heavily multi-threaded, it reads the input files in one thread, renders in another and pre-renders images so when you arrow forwards or back (keyboard). It shows pre-rendered images.

So, your report is crash on exit?

Encrypted - don't bother 3 [1/1] "333666.rar" yEnc 7080836 Bytes

I posted up a new one. Same password.

= Download: >>It seems $(GROUP) uses the short name of the newsgroup? but when I add 1 character in front of $(GROUP) the path gets expanded to the full groupname?
= Download: Added a special header download logging mode to try to track down missing posts.
= DOwnload: Changed how socket timeouts work. Defaults to windows default socket timeouts.
= DOwnload: More aggressive timeouts on SSL transfers. Noticed some stalling that doesn't happen to local SSL server.

Oddly enough, newsbin won't let me download this file.
I can find it using NewsBin Internet Search service, however when downloading, even with bypass filters, nothing happens.
Nothing in the debug log, and no connections to my servers are initiated.
Hmmm I see the properties say: Missing: 1
As no connection was made to my servers, I assume that is the NewsBin Internet Search service believing the posts are missing. (and Newsbin doesnt even check).

Search doesn't like it for sure. It's not returning the data needed to download it. Newsbin's fine with it when I downloaded headers. I wonder if it got hit by the search engine spam filter? That's what it looks like.

Encrypted Don't bother Attempt 4 [1/1] "333666.rar" yEnc 7080836 Bytes

This one works with search. It looks like the ones that didn't work revealed a bug in search.
