What would be the benefits of disabling par management and enabling aggressive assembly?

Thanks! :)

1 - Par Management: Nothing unless you really want all the pars. Some people want to keep the PAR files even after the download completes. This mode is for them. Normally Newsbin just downloads enough pars for the repair. This mode bypasses that.

2 - Aggressive Assembly: Simply reduces how long Newsbin waits before assembly. Basically it bypasses the retry stage. If you have good servers and normally get 90%+ of your files and want them to assemble and repair as quickly as possible, use this mode. If you download the newest files which aren't finished yet on your server or have servers that need a couple tries to get the most data, you don't want to use this mode.

Does aggressive assembly still use the fill servers?

Yes, it doesn't change how downloading works. It just changed how long Newsbin waits before it assembles what it has and starts downloading PARS. In non-aggressive mode, Newsbin would wait up to 2 retries say, a minute or 2 before it would assemble and try to repair. Aggressive mode just makes it happen sooner. It's really for people who only rarely have errors. Like me. 99% of the time everything downloads perfectly for me.
