This is the final 6.21 release. Couple of minor changes to the previous release candidate but this one will become the production release soon.
- Fix possible crash issue if the first RAR of a set is missing
- Fix issue with Internet Search not displaying results when there is exactly 1 match.
- Add a new icon for RAR sets containing PAR files (blue circle with a "P" in it.)
- XP now gets the same 32 bit icons as Vista/Win7
The download link is on the
Newsbin Beta Page.

"Show filename" is broken in the NZB tab: some files appear with full filename, some others with short, and switching has no effect.
If I add the files to the download list, "Show filename" works correctly in that tab.

Want to email it to "ts at newsbin dot com". I'm not seeing it here with the NZB's I have.
"Show Filenames" should be 100% if the filenames are quoted (as yEnc requires) but, it's less reliable if the filenames aren't quoted.

I'm not sure if they are. I will now send you the batch of NZB's I've opened.

Of the 5 NZB's you sent. 2 didn't "show filenames". The first, the filenames weren't quoted. The second, the filenames were illegal. ":"'s aren't legal in any filename on a windows PC.
Newsbin stripped the illegal characters from the filename before it saved the file. I'm going to see why Newsbin didn't like those files other than that. You could ask whoever is posting to use legal filenames. Might help.

Thanks for checking, but it's not a problem for me, I just thought it was right to tell you about this anomaly. Also, I have no idea of whom posted them, I just got the NZB's from an indexing site.
EDIT: Actually Iv'e just found out that the movie with (1974) year could not be repaired by PAR because NB can't find it's filename..

Typically that means none of the file downloaded.
It can be downloaded from Giganews but, it's somewhat damaged on Astraweb. Not sure what server you're using but, It's in bad shape on Astra. If you watch the logging tab, you'll see a stream of 430 errors. That's the server saying "I don't have it". If you select the files, right click and "Test Download". It'll test the files. Honestly, checking just AW, it's missing 52 blocks but, that should still be enough to repair it with Autopar or quickpar. Looks like there are at least 200 repair blocks posted with the files.
What server and tier of service are you using? If it's something like Giganews Pearl, the files are too old to download.

[Sorry for late reply, I live on the other side of Atlantic]
I use Astraweb. The PARS were in fact pending in the download list with no name, just the block size and par2 extension.
To fix the files I manually downloaded some PARs, then selected UnRAR/Join files.
It was a set of split files (*.001,*.002,etc), of which a couple had the filename doubled, like
Name of Film (1974) - File 010 of 050 - Name of Film (1974).010
I renamed those correctly before UnRAR/Join files.
So I could solve this by hand. I will keep in mind this problem in the future, I prefer Astraweb because it's cheaper. I used Giganews for 5 years, but now AW gives me almost the same service at a much lower price.

I think Newsbin has problems if the file is damaged more than average like this. I'm thinking of changes to work around this.

when downloading different releases i have this problem
[05:48:42] ERROR - PAR file is Damaged, Unable to Add Parfile: blablabla.par2
[05:48:47] HIGH - CAutoPARDB::Addfile Failed
[05:48:49] HIGH - CAutoPARDB::Addfile Failed
[05:48:51] HIGH - CAutoPARDB::Addfile Failed
[05:48:52] HIGH - CAutoPARDB::Addfile Failed
in the autopar window it says from the beginning that repair failed...
sabnzbd has no problem whatsoever downloading releases with these supposedly "bad" par2

It's downloading fine. When newsbin tries to pull valid par information out of the file it's saying there's something wrong with it. I had one yesterday. It had 8 repair blocks but, no files listed. That means part of the PAR was missing. Quickpar reported the same thing. Blocks but, no filenames. Check it with Quickpar, see if you get any files or blocks listed. Newsbin ignores pars that don't have files listed. Newsbin will work with damaged PARS as long as the minimum information is there which includes the file lists and CRC block information.

When you create a Group folder, you have the option to set Filter Profile properties, same as individual groups.
The list includes 'none', but you don't seem to be able to select it.
Either it is not an option, and therefore should be hidden, or its not working correctly. Am I correct in my assumption?

I'm unable to repro. I right click "Properties" then select Global then ok. Then I re-enter and select "None" and it says none (which is functionally the same as global).

Just incase we are looking at differnt locations
Groups List >New Folder
Right Click the New Folder
Properties
Select Use Profile
Filter Profile drop down shows Global
Change to None and OK
Re-open properties and Global is displayed, and not None
Basically I am trying to achieve no filters, though have global filters defined and are used by several of the groups under the "New Folder"

You can't remove global. If you don't want any filters, you'll have to clear global out so, it doesn't do anything.
I'll check out what you're saying. "None" and "Global" are really the same thing.

Many thanks for the clarification
What I had assumed is that it acted in the same way as when I have the folder tab open where I have the options to enable or disable the filters
