Computer won't sleep

Using 6.11 Release Candidate. My computer won't sleep at all now using 6.11. My NewsBin downloads headers every 15 minutes. If there is nothing in the download list I would like my computer to sleep, it did with previous versions.
I closed NewsBin last night and my computer does go to sleep.

Umm, set it to not download headers automatically? Or, is that your real question, you forgot how you set that in the first place?
[EDIT] or perhaps, are you asking for there to be multiple layers of operations that trigger sleep? i.e. downloading files: stay awake, getting headers: sleep? That, afaik, you can't do because it's not what the whole tech is designed for. What is Newsbin supposed to do when the computer pulls the rug out from under it when downloading headers? Even if windows offered tiers like that, that's just as valid a task as downloading files.

Is there anything in the download list? Is it still inserting the records in the DB after an update?
I'm not doubting you, I just wonder if Newsbin remains busy between one update and the next and that's why it's not letting it sleep.

Also, by way of diagnostic - if you set NB to update every hour, does it sleep then?

I'm going to add some "sleep logging" so, I can tell how often Newsbin is ticking the "don't sleep" function. If you have that, you can also trouble-shoot this.

This happens when nothing is in the download list. I download headers for only 4 groups every 15 minutes.
I will try changing the header download to an hour and the sleep to 45 minutes and see what happens.

I changed to the above setting and the computer does sleep. This time I had three items in the download list that were still downloading when the computer went to sleep. I don't want the computer to sleep when there are items in the download list. I would prefer NewsBin to allow my computer to sleep when the download list is empty.
