My first thoughts : Autopar

All on first contact here but it's not obvious how to clean up a failed auto par set (or one you've decided to skip after sampling). I don't think auto clean is enough.
Second, 5.59 seemed to respect my preferences and 6 doesn't seem to do that. Specifically, I sort by date so I like to have autopar set the date time stamp of the files it creates to now.
Not sure if either or intentional or I missed something..

I suspect this is intentional as many users were complaining that Newsbin set the file date to the time it was unpacked rather than the file date stored in the archive. I must admit I personally would prefer the unpack date, but I can also see a case for the other approach. However unless Quade decides to make this configurable in some way he has to go for one of the two incompatible approaches.

Explorer can show multiple dates, "Date Created" and "Date Modified". If you turn on "Date Created", it shows the time the file was unrared. The "Date Modified" shows the date the RAR was created. So, you can then sort in downloaded order.

Sorry to bump but this is the thread I found with search. Was this ever fixed in any way to offer an option? I have a jukebox that uses these timestamps and when people look for new files some will get lost many pages back because it was put online months ago or in some cases it's very off like in the future or many years ago. It's important for me to have the dates set to the moment they are unrared otherwise it won't follow the order in which I downloaded it i.e. what's new

I could make it optional. Nobody had as good a reason as you since you can't change the data you can use. Each file has 3 timestamps. You're saying you box can't use different timestamps?
It won't be in 6.1 which is going to be released tomorrow but, probably in the next beta.

And unless I'm mistaken, the clean up thing is back too. A bit harder to find perhaps. I often start a download, realize it's a set of Nickleback covers and want to quickly dispose of the incomplete par set. Then I bleach the hard drive.

Yeah...not really clear on the whole "bleaching" thing

I'm just making a nickleback funny there. We are all good.

Haha. I thought you might mean it was wiping the drive clean.

I changed Newsbin to use current time as the default for the file dates. It'll be optional so, you can use the old way if you want.
It'll be in the first beta after 6.1 is released.
