Not sure what you are saying here? You seem to be implying in the title that it forgot your current GUI settings, and then in the body that it had NOT forgotten e settings even though during install you told it to do so.

If you use the option to reset the GII during install that is MEANT to lose the GUI settings.

However if you talking about normal running then it would be a bug. I certainly have not noticed losing GUI settings during normal running or across a NB Exit/Restart.

I set my colums width just after a newsbin fresh install. then I close the group. When I reopen it, settings are lost. But If I close newsbin, settings are saved...It's ok ;)

I went from B4 to B6 skipping B5 64bit version W7

Having no GUI Issues in B4, skipped the reset of GUI during update to B6, now have GUI issues. If that helps.

Have now tried a re-install B6 over B6 , selecting re-set GUI , still not staying set.

During the install I noticed it mentioned

Error creating shortcut: C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

which I assume is due to a pre-existing entry
