Had alook in the log today and a few messages stood out, so thought to post here, just in case they indicate an issue with newsbin

ERROR - FileIOThread - Large Rar within RAR - Rejected

Comment: Great this relates to a probable passworded file, but is there a way of having some indication as to what file or from what user? If it were user, it would aid in locking out, if it were title, you may then know what you need to look for again, if you have a large download in process. Also rather than Rejected, would Ignored be a better term.

ERROR - Unable to Insert Subject record [52152]-[FULL]

COMMENT: Not exactly sure what this one means, but it seems to imply something is FULL but what?

ERROR - Server: news.host.com Illegal Group state Record ID's invalid: alt.something.something This group is Empty

COMMENT: Is this indicating that the article numbers are messed up or just no posts?


In addition to these a Feature Request, to have the list sortable, so that the Latest go to top?

hold down the shift key to send things to the top of the dpwnload list

yes the first one mean th tit has detected a larger rar file more than likely passworded, how do you mean indicatyion? it tells you in the failed files what file it failed, it is rejected tho rather than ignored

Is probably the takeaway from this message.

As in the past I have had with different software the situation where the numbers on the server had been reset, so the software is expecting the next number say 123456789 when in fact it was 10000 so could not find it, unless a complet list of available was obtained.Not sure if this still happens. Though hopefully makes sense
UPDATE: Just used other means to check the groups in question, and the do indeed appear empty.

relates to the 'Logging' list that currently puts the first entry at the top, with no option to reverse the order. So in effect you have to scroll to the bottom to see whats recent. In my opinion it would probably be better to have the latest at the top pushing older messages offscreen.
