Posting Error

Postby DogSnake » Wed Jan 11, 2017 6:17 am

Whenever I try posting/replying to a group I get these errors:
[04:13:46] ERROR Error Unknown Download Exception
[04:15:06] ERROR Server:XXXXX NNTPServer: Timeout - Waiting for Server to send Data:
[04:15:26] ERROR Error Unknown Download Exception
The reply does not go through. Any help is appreciated. I have been able to reply in the past.

The replies seem to go through now. However still getting this error: [15:29:34] ERROR Error Unknown Download Exception
Also the post shows in the downloading files tab and never completes. I must use the clear files command to get rid of it. Am I missing a setting option? I checked the data folder and there is also no record of the post in the Posting folder.
Thanks

Verifying what DogSnake states. It was a couple of weeks ago, not that I post much, other than thanking a poster, but had the exact same issue. Post went through even though it showed still uploading. Had to manually delete in download tab.

Have exact the same problem using "post.eweka.nl"

[23:24:54] ALWAYS eweka post XFEATURE COMPRESS GZIP | 290 Feature Enabled
[23:24:54] ALWAYS eweka post POST | 340 Send Article to be Posted
[23:24:54] ERROR Error Unknown Download Exception
[23:25:30] ERROR Server:eweka post NNTPServer: Timeout - Waiting for Server to send Data:

Still no solution?

RC2 might be up tomorrow(well today now). I didn't test eweka but did test post to Giga with no issues.

When you tested the posting was it just a small text message you used ?

Reason I ask is that the later beta builds all fail to post binaries properly.
The smaller parts of the post, make it through complete but the larger parts are all broken

Rar uo something and make a test post, the larger parts will all be yellow (incomplete) if the issue remains.

If it helps 6.62 works properly.

I was posting 15 meg files. I could try something larger I guess. The 340 message means the server is awaiting the post. Makes me wonder if maybe there's some timing problem. Like the server takes longer than expected to process the posts.

Keep in mind that posting is totally broken in 6.72.

It sure is.
You cant post squat with 6.72

If it's any consolation being able to filter out the spammers and not have the posts appearing in red works great in 6.72.
If that worked in 6.62 I would most likely not bother to ever upgrade.

We're talking about 6.73 at this point. There will be no fixes in 6.72. At this point, the only question is whether you can post in 6.73.

Yeah, it got held up because Dex wanted an easier way to set a header download filter. I expect I'll be able to hand him one this morning.

I can confirm that 6.73 RC2 fixed my posting issues as well, between this and the pre-db filtering, definitely my favorite release in ages. Thanks for the hard work guys!
