Empty Search (latest headers???)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't an empty search suppose to return some of the latest headers? Lately when I do this, I'll get a bunch of 0 day headers, but then some for the last several days, and then lots over 400 days old. What is the expected behavior of an empty search?

Fixed. Thanks for pointing it out. Some database maintenance stuff I put in was forcing wildcard searching to go into the archive database under certain circumstances.
