Logging error messages

When I update the groups, I pull headers from two ISPs - easynews and virginmedia.

Some of the groups are small and do not always have headers and six of them remain in the download list and produce a constantly updating log in the logging tab saying ERROR Download records - Reports empty group a.b.xxxx.

The log tab will keep repeating the messages until I manually delete the groups from the download list - all showing 0/0 in the post count column. I can then go the log tab and right click and click on clear window.

The error messages only concern the virginmedia headers for the groups concerned, not the Easynews headers and the Easynews groups disappear from the download list automatically.

I've tried resetting the groups with download age and update headers - still the same - and also compacting the groups. I've even tried deleting the groups and re-subscribing to them but get the same problems.

Could one of the db3 files be corrupted?

Another thing I've noticed is that after updating the headers, the number in the new files column in the groups tab does not always correspond with the number on the group tab when it is opened eg - boneless will show 349 new files but when the tab is opened there will be a couple of thousand new posts

This isn't saying the groups have no traffic. This is saying they're really empty as in zero posts ever.

I'd suggest in the server options disabling header download for the virgin media server. All servers have pretty much the same posts. In fact I'd suggest to most people, just downloading headers from your best server which in this case is easynews.

I'll look into the empty group error. They should be leaving the download list.
