Column Sorting 6.50B11

Postby TBlack » Tue Jun 18, 2013 10:58 am

I have my group columns sorting on Date from newest to oldest. After downloading new headers for that group, it seems I have to toggle on Date to see the newest. Should NewsBin automatically sort and update the display based on my Date selection after updating headers or do I have a setting not set correctly?

Thx

It would be nice if I could do that but, If you have 10 groups loaded up, each group update is 10 distinct loads which in this case would be 10 distinct sorts.

I suppose I could experiment with making it sort each time. See how it looks.

Understand. Thought I would throw the idea out there. It just seemed logical that if a group is being updated with new headers, the sort would occur at that time. I thought there might be something broken or I had a setting incorrect.

Maybe the sort does not occur until all headers for a group are downloaded, especially in the case of a large number of headers. I downloaded 120 Million headers in one group the other day. That might have taxed a sort a bit.

Maybe it's not worth the headache and I can just keep toggling the Date Header as I have done.

BTW, nice compression on the 120 Million Header downloads. Saw some nice speeds at 80 to 100 Mbps for the headers.
