Version 6.33 Release Candidate 1 Available...

Postby dexter » Mon May 21, 2012 11:53 am

For those of you still on 6.32 and not running 6.40 beta, Quade back-ported some critical changes from 6.40 into 6.33.

  • Fixed issue with large files getting corrupted occasionally
  • Fixed intermittent crash bug

I am keeping 6.40 on the beta page so if you want to download and try 6.33, get it here.

With 6.33 RC1, post dates are displayed as ''Deleted" in the Posts and Search windows. Is that due to a setting that needs to be changed? If so, which setting(s)?

What build are you running? Look in the title bar to see. This was a bug in one of the earlier releases that sounds like this.

If you really are running the latest, did you do anything differently? Do you have any filters set? I'm unable to recreate this.

This is occuring with Newsbin 6.33 RC1, Build 1881.

I'd been running Newsbin Version 6.32. I then installed version 6.40 Beta 1 the day it became available, but after experiencing repeated crashes, and missing the "Download to New Folder" feature, I returned to version 6.32. I then installed 6.33RC1 when it became available.

No settings changes have been made since before the installation of 6.40 Beta 1.

No filters are utilized

This is a screen capture of what is displayed

<edited> - but saved.

I can live with this until the next beta version release of Newsbin.

This might be related to switching back to 6.33 from 6.4. I'd have stuck with 6.4 if I was you. Dex is going to try to reproduce it.

Thank you for figuring it out.

I look forward to the next release in the 6.40 beta cycle.

Next 6.4 is sort of waiting for the 6.33 release so, as to not confuse people. 6.33 should go live today. I might try to get 6.4 up today, assuming dex is around.

I just wanted to chime in to say that I'm also seeing 'Deleted' for every post in the Date column when I'm trying to show actual date and not the post age. I haven't used any of the 6.4x beta releases, so it doesn't appear to be related to downgrading from the newer betas.

Whoops... completely missed that thread since it wasn't in the Beta forum. Thanks for the heads up.
