I must have done something really stupid, but can't think what - I've been downloading files this evening with no problems - but now there are files waiting to be downloaded, but the list is frozen (no problems with my internet).

You could try closing and then opening NewsbinPro again, sometimes that gets the downloads started.
I posted a whole topic after spending at least a week with 6.90 and this is what I have seen here > https://forums.newsbin.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=48304
I think more fixes were done by 6.91 RC3, if you search I think there is still an RC4 TEST version available.
I have not had time to get back to really giving RC3 or RC4 TEST a long term test.
