Hi,

I use the internet search for tv shows etc, but find most posts now are what I've learnt to be "obfuscated" but when i search for some of the TV shows the par files show up but not the actual files for download.

So if the par files are returned in the search then the whole file is available but i'm not sure how I can find the rest of the files? Is there a way I searching using the string that’s returned with the pars etc?

Any help would be appreciated

I'm in the midst of working on a solution for this. People have stopped posting files in the normal way so, I need to make some fairly extensive chances to find them again.

Okay thank you, at least it's not something I'm doing or not doing.

Obfuscated uploads on usenet are starting to become common place. I'm glad to see Newsbin's search function is being looked at for a possible solution.

Upgrade to the latest "beta"release, in this case it's Newsbin 6.80 Release Candidate 1, December 29, 2017

Handling Obfuscated Posts

More people are posting files in an obfuscated format that isn't supported in versions of Newsbin prior to the current 6.80 beta. If you are downloading from NZB files that have obfuscated posts in them, you should upgrade to the latest beta which is 6.80 Beta 13
