Not really a problem, just an observation. Perhaps the "proper" use of Filter Profile with Internet search is to run the search without any Filter Profile first - THEN select a profile?

My first search returned a few hundred items with the Filter Profile pre-selected. Started looking into the profile to see if it needed to be tweaked. Then when i switched to another profile, the list changed. When I switched back to the originally selected Filter Profile - perfection.

So now I know how to use it, whether that's the intended method or not

I was just testing this. The profiles doesn't change what results are returned. Just what results are shown.

In the search tab, the filter profile is a snapshot. You apply it once then have to apply it again when the results change.

Ok, that makes sense. So a wishlist item would be something simpler than switching away from then back to a filter profile to re-apply it. Realistically though, a low priority item for me since I probably need to be using search differently as evidenced by my other recent posts.
