How can I restore the tabs so that they are not grayed out?

I just updated to the latest version and found that all tabs except for the active one are now grayed out. That makes it more difficult to read them - which is especially important since many tabs show some sort of status (e.g. # of files remaining, # of failed files, etc...).

How can I restore them so that they are all properly visible? I already had to edit the NBI file in order to get the background color to be white. Do I need to edit it again to fix this, or is there a better way? For what it's worth, I'm using Windows Native for the display mode.

Under "View" you might want to mess with "application look"

Windows Native is what I've used in the past, and it's what I like the most out of all of them. In truth, the same grayed out effect is observed in most of the others, with a couple of exceptions which have a dramatically different look.

Is there any way to get the tabs to not be greyed out while maintaining Windows Native mode?

If not, I would ask that this graphic element be reverted due to the fact that even inactive tabs contain status information that is now harder to read.

I don't actually know what you're talking about with "grayed out" tabs to be honest.

I'd guessed you set some other theme.

Do you mean gray background in the lists themselves?

In this screenshot, the Search tab is active. The rest of them are greyed out.

Ok, we're back to "you need to change the application look" then.

I believe that's your only option.

It's interesting that my application border looks nothing like yours.

Okay, I understand that there's nothing I can do about it right now.

However, this is a moderately recent change that occurred earlier this year. I'm pointing out that this particular aspect of the GUI changes is having a negative effect. I'm hoping that you will agree that it doesn't work as well, given that status information is harder to read, and will address it in a future release.

I'm curious what version of Newsbin you upgraded from? Quade hasn't made significant GUI look changes since 6.0, which was released back in 2011.

I believe it was 6.56.
