Hi, I'm running Newsbin Pro v6.72 and for a while now Message of the Day pops up every time I start Newsbin. I've unticked 'Show MOTD On Startup' to no avail. I've tried reinstalling Newsbin but that didn't work either. It's a nuisance because sometimes there's a delay for MOTD to pop up and if I do anything before then Newsbin crashes. Anyone know the answer please?

In the help menu use "register/update key" to update the key. Then restart Newsbin. It's a sign that Newsbin doesn't think it's registered.

Thanks Quade, it worked a treat. All I had to do was click the 'Click to Finish Registration' box. Bit strange how this happened since I've been running Newsbin for a few years now with no previous probs to speak of.

Some security software likes to clean the key out of the registry so, sometimes you might find yourself unregistered. I've taken some steps in the last couple versions to make this more reliable so, hopefully it won't happen again.

Hi there,
I'm having the same MOTD issue with 6.80RC4 (also had the problem with RC2). When I try to register/update key I get the following message: "Registration Failed with error Registration Failed - Can't Contact Server"

Yeah it's a bug. If you register 6.73, 6.80 will inherit that registration.
