I use Show Posts Special with the Calendar. That works fine. However, if I click on it again to modify the dates slightly the last dates are not remembered and I need to start over.

Some clarification:
If I only use "Show Special..." in the specific Group Post List, the dates are saved when opening the 2nd time.
However, they are not saved when first using "Show Posts Special" from the Groups List, and then trying to change the dates using "Show Special..." in the Group Post List

This is still a bug, almost 2 years later (V6.81B2)

It's not a feature so the lack of it isn't really a bug. It's not completely clear what you're reporting.
I don't believe there's any attempt to save those date ranges.

OK. Let me try again.
1. Open Newsbin
2. In the Groups List, right click a group "ABC".
3. Click "Show Special"
4. Using the calendar, select a Date Range, e.g. 6/1/2011 - 6/15/2011
6. In the group tab for "ABC", the headers in that Date Range are now shown
7. In the group tab for "ABC", click "Show Special" (in the Display Age drop-down)
8. Note that the previous Date Range in the Calendar was not saved.
9. Select the same Date Range again 6/1/2011 - 6/15/2011
10. Again, in the group tab for "ABC", click "Show Special" (in the Display Age drop-down)
11. Note that the Date Range was now saved, and can easily be changed, e.g. to 6/15/2011 - 6/30/11
Thus, the date range is not saved going from the Group List to the specific Group Tab. However, it is saved when makes changes in the specific Group Tab.
It would be helpful it was also saved when using the Group List (which is always the first step)

I wrote a note to look at it. The issue is that unless there's specific code to set this data, it's not saved.
