Mark Post New is not working?

I added a grouped post to the download list. I then removed it ("Delete"). The post then showed up as Idle/Old. I right clicked the post and selected "Mark Posts New". However, they still show up as Idle/Old.
(I tried to close and reopen the group but it didn't help)

using v6.71

I loaded up a group, made a bunch of stuff old.

Then I selected the posts, right clicked and made them "new" again.

Closed and opened the tab and they remained New.

- If you have "automark old" set in the options, every time you load the group, they'll get reset to "old" again.
- You can't mark "new" files you've already downloaded. Not without deleting "DownloadMarker".

Marking a post old and then new works for me as well.

Adding it to the download list and then removing it, without downloading it, marks it old.
After that it is not possible to mark it new again.
Since it was never downloaded, why can't it be marked new again?

p.s. I do not have "automark old" set in the options.

Adding it to the download list adds it to downloadmarker. Meaning downloadmarker is overriding the value in the groups themselves.

Since it is in a database, DownloadMarker.DB3, wouldn't it be "quite easy" to remove it from the database if the user marked it as new (or manually deleted it from the download list)? Maybe in a future version?

Anything is possible. The real question is whether it's worth the effort.

How much "Mark Newing" do you think you'll be doing?

Honestly, probably not much.... I am doing it now because of troubleshooting.
