Ctrl+D no longer works in the post list :( :(

Hi

I have not used Newsbin for a while, so I'm not sure when this have been changed, but I was used to be able
to remove files from the "Downloading List" by hitting Ctrl+D on one or more selected files in the "Posts List".

I miss this functionality a lot, because after hitting download on some hundred files with unknown contents
I check the downloaded files and if I find a pattern in the names of those files that I dont like, I could search
on that pattern in the "Posts List" and on the result I could use Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+D and then Shift+Del
and the files would be deleted from both lists.

As it is now I have to do search in both lists separately in order to avoid downloading the files.

Hope you will add the shortcut again

Thanks in advance
Best regards

Highlighting one or more files in a Post List can be deleted with Shift-Del key combo or selecting Delete Post from the Right-Click Menu.

Ctrl-D isn't hooked up (& don't believe it has for a long while if ever), but you can make it work through Customize/Keyboard. Right Click on the Menu Icon area, select Customize and go to the Keyboard Tab.

Hope this helps...

Of Course Ctrl+D is hooked up se picture below:

But unfortunately it isn't available when focus is on the post list I guess it might have something to do with the fact that the Download menu isn't available in the customize menu.

I hope it will be available in future releases, like it was in my previous.

I can look into hooking it back up. The problem is that the subject isn't always the same between the post list and download list. If they're different, Ctrl-D won't work.

There's also the option of remapping the keyboard in NB to suit his needs, yes? I use Shift-Del in the Post Lists and have remapped two different key combos...works fine.

Thanks

In the past I have never noticed that it didn't work as expected, but then again I have never checked that carefully.;)

Dont each group of headers have a unique ID or key, that you can use for identifying ?

I for one would be happy to have that function back.

Thanks in advence.

Files in the download list get their own unique ID's. The download list doesn't know where the download data came from. If could have been headers or NZB files or internet search. So the way Ctrl-D used to work was keyed on the subject. For headers, using the subject is decently reliable. For search sourced files, it's not. Not sure for NZB files.

Wish you would hook it back up. Accidentally clicking on a file to add it to the download list creates a hassle when you then have to go to the download list, wait for it to appear if it's not yet shown, and then manually delete it. Worked great before, wish it hadn't disappeared.
