Item count in "file list' increases following a sort by size

Version 6.70: 00 F8 C8 2E 38 CA

When sorting the file list by size, the items number count increases. This occurs
when multi-part file posts are shown in the "file list" prior to a sort operation by size.

Rar files deleted after the completion of download and un-rar functions are showing in
the "file list" after size sort operation. The rar files appear post size sort regardless of
how the "Delete RARS and PARS to Recycle Bin" in the AutoPAR Options window is set
(On or OFF). I had this option On when I first noticed the problem. I turned it Off
and the problem went away during the current execution of NewBin. Problem recurred
with the next and all subsequent executions of NewBin.

Newsbin is still the best new reader in the world! :)

Thanks for the report.

So to clarify, the files are still there after you restart?

The un-rared files are still there. The rar sets that comprised the un-rared content are gone/deleted
unless I have specified to delete to the recycle bin, in which case they're hanging out in the recycle bin.

The files list doesn't actually track what's on disk.

What seems to be happening is that after an unrar, the rars are removed from the visible list but not removed from the DB till you exit and restart. Since they're still in the DB they get picked up again during the sort (or maybe they're removed from the DB but not from memory).

Whether you use re-cycle-bin or not probably doesn't impact this.

Thanks.

I commonly sort by size after a download so I can mark and delete all the small stuff that accompanies most files posts.

Prior to version 6.7, this extra rar detail was not present in the sorted "file list" result (last version I used was 6.53 and I
decided to do fresh install of version 6.7). Now after downloading several large posts, I'll see say 15-20 files in the "file list",
then I elect to sort by size and I'm now presented with 200-300 files making further perusal of sorted results frustrating.

The extra files are not in the "file list" before sorting and shouldn't be picked up as input and presented in the post sort
results to the end user. The 6.7 upgrade brought this about. Will you be fixing this bug? Your reply is unclear in that regard.

Thanks

It's on my list.

You know you can filter out junk files with post-unrar filtering right? I never see the small junk files because they get deleted automatically.

Edit: If you hit the refresh button which is the first button on the toolbar, it also clears out the rars.
