How to get Newsgroup folder name to show from a download

I'm currently using ver 6.62 build 4358 and I would like the group name created for a particular group. For example my download path and what I have it set too is E:\Newsreader\Newsbin\Downloads\$(GROUP)\$(MONTH)$(DAY)\. All it will currently do is just download the file into E:\Newsreader\Newsbin\downloads\, it will not create the newsgroup folder itself or show the month & day. Seems no matter what I try, I can't get it to work. I'm must be doing something wrong here? Advice or instruction, maybe even a couple of examples, would be appreciated. Thx!

Keep in mind that the download path and the unrar path are different. If you download things that unRAR you probably want to set the unrar path to what you currently have the download path set to. If you're not downloading things that unrar, I'd look in the group properties and the group parent properties to make sure you haven't set a path there too. Group property paths will override the main download path.
