Problem contacting the Search Server. Please contact technic

Coincidence possibly but since upgrading to 6.62 my watch lists are not longer updating (times are updating but nothing found) and when I try a manual search I get the message "Problem contacting the Search Server. Please contact technical support"

Any ideas?

Can you do regular downloads?

Normally we think this is cause by and update triggering you security software to block Newsbin off the internet. If you can't also connect to your news server then it's likely a security software issue.

Yes I can download ok, I resorted to downloading latest headers of normal groups and downloading that way.

That suggests it's not security software then. I'll talk to Dex about it. The server is up. I'm using it so we need to figure out what's happening with the connection.

Are you on Win 10 by chance? Had another report of this happening right after they did a Win 10 update.

If not, did anything change on your system other than upgrading to 6.62?

OK it looks like a local issue.

I have two broadband connections here, when I route is.newsbin.com through my secondary connection it works, not sure why it's suddenly not working through my main connection but will investigate.
