Technical support and discussion of Newsbin Version 6 series.

options/settings/colors and fonts help

Postby jondough » Sat Oct 17, 2015 11:01 pm

I am a long LONG time NSB user with very VERY few issues and very few that needed outside support.

Since somewhere since the start of V6, I have lost the color coding of accessible/downloaded files.

Everything is just Green as New, where I have defined all the possibilities which all used to work but now remain as New Posts despite other designations.

I did change the profile a bit somewhere in same time but have tried both old and new.

What is strange is that old indications are still correct but anything new is not.

TIA
and thanks for a great program!

m.

Side issue, how do I attach a pic to forum that is on my computer? It seems to look for an outside URL.

There's a file in the data folder named "DownloadMarker.db3". It tracks the downloaded and old state of files these days. You might want to exit newsbin and delete it. My guess is that either Newsbin can't write to it or it's corrupted.

Quade,
Thank you for your quick reply.
That seems to have done it.
My file size was 7.23MB if that is helpful and I can supply file for eval if desired

For others info, on W7, the file is in Users | 'user' | AppData | Local | Newsbin

And again, thanks for the great program and your continual updates!
