Incomplete downloads

Everything has worked fine since forever, but over the past week or two, I'm seeing a lot of downloads that aren't completing.
I have Sickbeard set up to grab the nzb files for the shows I'm watching, and when they land in the target directory, Newsbin automatically downloads them.
But I'm often seeing this when I check on things in the morning:

I've tried right-clicking on the part, then "resume download" or "retry download", but neither works.

I can select the entire post and delete it, then search for that show. It shows up and is highlighted as already downloaded.
I select it and <ctl>-Y to force a download, and it comes through complete.
It's as though the files hadn't completed uploading to the server when I initially tried downloading.

I don't know why this has started happening now. I really don't think I've changed any settings in a very long time.

This is Newsbin 6.55 - build 3334

It looks like a problem with the NZB. The fact you have black bars suggests the NZB itself is incomplete. You could try searching for these posts using Internet search and see if they're incomplete there.

In a case like this right click "Assemble Incompletes" is the only possible solution and you have to hope you have enough PARS to repair the file. 6.61 is more aggressive about downloading PARS. You might want to give it a try.

What percentage of your downloads are coming up incomplete?

Lately, it seems like between 30-50% are like this. It's always the ones that auto-download. If I search within Newsbin for something, it's always ok. I'll try upgrading.

To be clear, it's only ones from SB that have this problem? Or is it ones Newsbin autodownloads from headers itself?

I don't really understand the second part of that, but the problem is only from nzbs that Sickbeard gets.

Newsbin can select and automatically download files from headers or the search engine too.

I just wanted confirmation that it was only SB downloads that had this issue. Here's something you could try. Go to the search engine website you're using and download the NZB's manually and then use the "Load NZB" button to see if they're complete in their search engine.

In my NZBs folder, there is a subfolder "Loaded" that has all previously downloaded nzb files. The file for the show that failed was there. One (out of two) shows from last night had the problem. I loaded that nzb file just now, and it downloaded fine.

I haven't upgrade newsbin yet. I'll do that this morning.

FYI... I just did the upgrade, and it doesn't retain settings associated with how you've arranged your windows.

Sounds like you're using "black hole" mode. If you load a problem NZB into a post list, does it show any incomplete files?

It doesn't show any incomplete files. Is "black hole" mode something I can toggle?
