Reading unread post grays out all similar posts

When I downloaded new posts in a group there were multiple replies to a single post. They showed up in green as expected since they were new/unread. When I read one of the posts it was grayed out. Nothing unusual. Howver, all of the other replies were also grayed out and I hadn't read them yet.

Newsbin uses the subject for tracking that and if they all have the same subject I imagine they all turn gray.

If there are multiple replies it certainly makes it more difficult to remember what you've read and what you haven't. I can't remember if the previous version did this. I'm thinking it didn't.

How about selecting all of them and hitting "Ctrl-R". I'm actually surprised you're seeing more than one listed.

That might be because it's a Text group, no binaries. I realize that may be something of a novelty here.

I still think it would be nice if it worked the way I think it used to, posts that have been read show as such, posts that haven't been read don't show that they have been read. It just makes sense.
