newsbin 6.60

Postby superkitt » Sun Aug 09, 2015 8:56 pm

Hi

I'm tring to upgrade to 6.60 from 6.56, I download it, installed it, everything is alright, however when it runs, thats where it fails, I just get a small box with the newsbin in the top bar and a blank window, its only about 3"x2" box.

I've tried several times since it was first released without success, same error.

6.56 works fine and I have tried downloading it many times, same outcome.

Sounds like Language.dll or Languagex64.dll isn't being installed or is being blocked by your security software. Do you have another machine you could try installing it on?

It works on the other computer? One thing you could do is copy the "Program Files" for Newsbin off the working computer onto the non-working one.

Are you overclocking? Sometimes a bad overclock will give these symptoms too.

I got it to work on my main computer by temporary disable my firewall and virus software during installation, then turned them back on right after I ran it for the first time, I'm not sure if either or both were the problem, but it worked, I'm running Comodo and avast.
