List of indexed newsgroups

Would it be possible to get a list of the newsgroups you index in your search service? Also, it seems that some groups are not well indexed, in that some of the posts for a search appear, but not all. It seems that if I have to download all the headers in a particular group in order to do a "complete" search, then what purpose does it serve to subscribe to your search service?

Just wondering.

Is it possible to place a request for newsgroup to be added to your list of indexed groups if they don't already exist?

Thanks.

1 - I don't have a list handy. It's about 1200-1300 groups so, it's not like it would be easy to post anyway.

2 - If you think something is missing either PM me or Dex about it. We'll check it out.

3 - You can request for us to add groups. Probably better over PM.

4 - In the options under spam. There are two check boxes which, when can apply a pre-filter to the results. You might want to uncheck them.

Just did a search and the search function only returned this record (for the a.b.sounds.lossless.new-age group):

<Edited for safety>

Since this is a group I subscribe to, I searched in it and returned these records:

<Ditto>

There seems to be a bit of a discrepancy in the returns, which, again, makes me wonder why your search service only returns some and not all the records that exist for a particular search. BTW, the search was on the keyword "dadawa".

I'll get Dex to check it when he gets back. Thanks.

Should I PM you with that kind of header data?

I noted it. I'll point dex at what you posted.

Much of it was 2300 days old which is right at the edge of retention for most servers. The newer stuff should be there.

Thanks.
