Win64 install impossible?

Hi,
I use Newsbin Pro for 10 Years with Win32. Today I have new install my PC with Win64 and all WindowsUpdates. Now I try to install Newsbin Pro 6.56 for 64bit. It looks impossible.

While the install program is copying files in the target directory, I get a little empty warning-windows. And the installation is stopping.

After useing a systemrestorepoint I also tested Newsbin Pro 6.42 for 32 bit (!!!) to install and have the same error.
I tested to set the installation directory on a other HD (to eliminate a possible write-problem in the windows directory) and have the same error.

Is it impossible to use any Newsbin Pro on a Win64?

PLEASE HELP, I am desperate!!!

It's probably your security software blocking the install.

Not sure what to suggest other than disable it, install, then re-enable it.

Win64

What is this Win7 64? Win8 64?

Not sure anyone has tried to install it on XP64 in awhile. You could install it on a different computer and copy the install folder to this machine too.

I use Win8 64 which is basically the same as Win7 64.

I'd say my original answer is the correct one then. Security software. Dex has another version that doesn't require downloading from the internet. I'll ask him to post a link here. Might not be till tonight.

I use NO security software.
It is a new and naked Win7 64, with Office 2010 and all WindowsUpdates (and OfficeUpdates). There is NO other Software installed.

But now I tested and there is no problem to install other programs. I testet to install vlc, calibre, iTunes and Adobe Reader. It works.
I dont understand why I can not install any version of Newsbin.

Don't know either. I just downloaded and ran both the production and beta version installer on this machine and it just installed. Might want to re-download the installer from our website.

I agree with Quade, it sounds like you have some software conflict. Maybe some security software is running that you are not aware of? You could download and try this one:

http://www.newsbin.com/downloads/nb656-full.exe

We have no other reports of this so until we do we have to assume it is something specific to your machine.

The error still persist for installing nb662-install.exe on a Windows 10 64-bit machine. The error is that there is no permission to create the Newsbin folder in the AppData folder.
Second machine, second time in a row. Pretty weird considering nothing else is complaining. If you go and manually create the folder then it continues installation and finishes fine.

Only thing I can think of is that you are running the same security software on both machines that is conflicting with the installer. There are very few reports of this so it is not widespread.

Could be something with the native bit defender, since I was just attempting to installing the programs on the machines I was rebuilding. I just decided the first machine was too old and treated myself. You DO get faster the second time rebuilding all the software... But all the other programs exhibited no problem creating folders in the AppData folder.
