6.56 Filters

I just upgraded to 6.56 build 3339 and went to add an item to one of my filters and I cannot add it. The filter already had 11 items in it.
When i tried to add another the add button had not effect (nothing happened.)
The item i was adding was: [.]srr
Am I missing something? I typed [.]srr and clicked Add and nothing happened.
Note: it looks like it's the first item in the list that would force the grid window to start a scrollbar. I'm not sure if that matters.
Thanks.

I just added 17 new entries to a filter in 6.60 so, if it is broken, it's already fixed.
There really shouldn't be any upper limit. Particularly not at 11.
Wonder if it's already in say the filter accept filter? In 6.60 all the filter for a particular profile are in a single list. In B8 which is in internal testing, you can enable and disable individual filter entries.

In my 6.56RC1 build 3367 I have one filter that has 94 subject reject entries (mostly porn related terms to clean up non-erotica picture groups). 6.60b7 does not list the number but since it uses the same data folder I assume 94 entries also. The two are not run at the same time - I just went back to 6.56 because of the non-working "Retry Download" and defective "Wish List" in b7 (hopefully fixed in b8).

Okay I found out what the problem is. [.]srr is already in the reject filter list that's why it's not adding it again.
The reason I went to add it again is because it was leaving .ssr files on my hard drive after extraction and I have it in the "Enable Post UnRar Filter".
Any advice? I don't know if maybe i should be using a better pattern for .srr files?

I'm not aware of any issues with the wish list. You might want to remind me. Not seeing any problems with retry download either.

Just tried beta 7 "Wish List" again. Same results but 8 (of 20) downloaded instead of 7. I increased the size of the download list tab that is viewable - now 15 will download. In both cases after clearing the Wish List the post list still shows these files queued up for download.

Weird. I added 33 items to wish then added them to download and they went to download. All 33 of them. Then I just flipped them back and forth a couple times. Are you feeding them to wish from the download list or post list?
Are these searches, headers or NZB's?
Might be worth deleting "Downloadsv2.db3" and trying again.

Headers. Added to wish list from post list. I'll get back to you after I try removing Downloadsv2.db3

Moved DownloadsV2.db3 to different folder. Still same problem except one and a half times out of about ten tests it did work (the half time was when 8 of 20 downloaded leaving 12 in the wish list but they did not change to "Display Update Pending:" - and I could send them to the download list a second time).
Work flow: Select posts from post list and right click "Add to Wish List". In Wish List say 9 of 16 are visible. Select one of these and do Ctrl-a or right click and "Select All". All 16 are highlighted (both visually and via the status line). Right click and "Download - Bypass Filters" All 16 downloaded (now 2 1/2 tests worked).
Tried again with 51 posts - 10 downloaded, 41 remained in wish list "Display Update Pending: 137" in every column (Description, path, size etc). The number (137) increased by one for each post. Status displayed was "paused" but all I can do is "Remove from List" or "Clear List"
I also verified "Retry Download" is not working for me on test download. The test said 100% complete - the retry got up to Retry:5 before I deleted it. Max retries is set to 2 and AutoPAR is not disabled.
These are off topic - can move to the beta 7 topic.

Yeah I get it. It's not a "retry download" problem. It's a "change from test to download". Pretty sure it's fixed in B8.
I just tested one in B8 and it switched to download mode.

So as mentioned above I see that there is the [.]srr already in the reject filter list that's why it wouldn't add it again.
What got me trying to add it again was that I'm seeing .srr files on my drive after the autopars are complete (many of them.) I'm also seeing some .nfo files there and that is in the filter I'm using for the "Enable Post UnRar Filter".
I didn't have this happen before i upgraded to 6.56 Build 3339.
Can you advise?
Am I missing something?
thanks.

My post-unrar filter has stopped working 6.56 b3339
I have a filter set for post-unrar to delete junk files e.g.
filter>filename reject>
[.]srr
[.]sfv
As far as I can see my entries appear OK & the post-unrar filter option is checked.
But it is no longer killing stuff, & it used to.
Any suggestions e.g.
Anything I can do to manually edit the filters/kill them if they are corrupt but not recognized as such by the prog? (deleting & rewriting them from the filter dialog isn't working)
AFAIK this has occurred since trying B8.

try adding "[.]srr" and "[.]sfv" to the "Global" filename reject filter and see what happens.
I may have to re-think post-unrar filtering. The issue is that the NFO and SFV files are probably not mentioned in the PAR Files nor are they inside the RARS. I had to make some filtering changes to keep the global filtering from breaking PAR processing.

Thanks Quade that has done the trick
FYI the posts I noticed this behavior on had .srr & sfv posted 'externally' with the set. Maybe this makes a difference to the processing?

This seems to work ok. The only downside is that the files show up in the failed files tab because it matches the rejected profile filter. It makes it harder to see what legitimately failed and what is just showing because of the filter.

I also saw the pile up in 'Failed' - if it isn't easy to eliminate garbage as previously ('silently') maybe a different icon could be implemented for rejected items?

I made a change in B10 so post-unrar filters apply to both the source files as well as the contents of the RAR/PAR set. It means it should work better for cleaning out these files. It works like it did before.
