Newsbin 6.11 Download stops

I have Newsbin 6.11. 2 days ago DL's started stopping. I start NB, it goes to my normal DL speed, then it starts reducing speed, until it finally goes to zero and stops. Closing and restarting NB and it does the same thing. Except for last night(12/26) I restarted NB and it stayed at normal speed until the DL list was complete. This morning, it stalled again.
The only change has been to the incoming cable line. It was disconnected to trouble shoot another issue.
I wanted to ask for advice before installing the latest Newsbin.
Any help would be appreciated.
I am also tracking down any changes by the news server.

I see no errors in the log and cache is 192/200

Kind of hard to figure out without any error messages. What happens if you move things from the bottom of the download list to the top? Does download then take off?

I tried that. No luck
I did install the latest newsbin after I posted.
It was a shot in the dark without the errors.

However, 6.55 did give me some error messages but it works fairly well.
Speed is up and down like a yo-yo.

ERROR Error: WSARecvSocket Error Code: 10060 A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Sounds like a news server(Usenetserver) issue to me.
I have an email in to their tech support.

Any other ideas are greatly appreciated.

Are you in Wifi? Wifi is inherently unreliable so, connection errors and disconnects aren't that unusual. If it keeps working even with those errors, I wouldn't worry about it.

I am hardwired to the router.
6.55 seems to be working quite well, the errors are annoying, but not stopping me any more.
Nice upgrade to 6.55.
I did try disabling Norton firewall, and that seemed to make it go away.
As soon as I enabled it, the messages popped up again.
I am going to pursue that with Norton.
Also, my internet connection was a bit fluky, now that I think about it.
I'll keep an eye on it and see if the pop ups stop.

Norton was not the answer.
However, Comcast was.
My modem had issues and they were corrected with updates and resets.
Speeds are back to normal and no more timeouts.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to an issue with no clues.
I almost didn't post, but I was stuck, literally.
Still love 6.55. 8 looks even better.
