Questions concerning Search Screen and Filters Screen

1. When I use the Search Screen for my Local (HD) DL content and choose from Field I can get the poster I am looking for. But If I type in to search for another poster it acts as though I still have the orig. posters name in the serach field. Is there a reset option that can clear out the old search criteria and let me search something new?

The only way I have been able to get it to work is either exit out of the newsgroup or change the dropdown menu to subject field.

2. Is the search screen the only place I can search for certain posters(from field)? I have tried the from filter in the newsgroup screen and the only results I get if the poster was the subject of the post.

3. Is there a "change properties setting" for the search screen mode? I just assumed that global settings would work in both screens (Seaarch and Newsgroups). But everytime I downloaded post it would go to the
main download folder.
