Postby markeh » Wed Oct 22, 2014 5:29 pm

I'm suddenly getting messages like those copied below. The file downloads anyway, so I guess its just an annoyance, but I would like to understand if there is something I should or could do to fix the problem. .... thx.

How many connections are you using to the server?

10 each to Giganews-US, and Giganews-Europe.

My Giganews account is supposed to allow 20, doesn't specify if or how that is divided between the two servers.

If lowering the number would fix the problem, I'm happy to do so. Some downloads now approach 100mb, based on what DU meter says.

Normally I'd suggest a firewall or security software is messing with the download but, normally they prevent any connections so, the fact downloads continue sort of throws me off. I'm not really sure what the cause is, to be honest.

Check if you have several different servers entered in newsbin (options menu). A reason for the error messages can be that one of them is not (longer) valid.
