Hi,

For a long time I used sabnzbd for the automated downloading of content sent to it via Sickbeard, finally got fed up with the constant failed downloads due to propagation and other issues that Newsbin manages to surpass just fine so I've set Newsbin up to monitor a folder for nzbs, set it to start with windows and have disabled MOTD on startup as per instructions, however it refuses to start minimized so wondered if that function is broken in the latest build or has been disabled for some reason?

Edit: Should add I'm using windows 8.1 and just installed beta 1 of NB Pro 6.54

Newsbin doesn't have any code to start minimized (I don't think, I'll have to check). I'd be more inclined to think this is a windows artifact.

If you ever run into failed downloads because of posting delays, you can turn up the retry counter. The more retries, the longer it waits between retries. Retries will be much more sophisticated in 6.60 too.

Aha I see, maybe it's something you could consider adding? Would be really cool as well for example if the icon changed colour to show it was downloading (similar to how sabnzbd works), I was really impressed with how little RAM it uses when minimised to tray, less than 3mb when I checked to compare with sabnzbd which was over 10 times less than sabnzbd!

Yeah sure. I thought you could do it from the shortcut that starts Newsbin too.

I tried adding /MINIMIZED to the shortcut but it didn't do anything

Any update on whether on not u can include this as a feature?

I don't really know why it's not working right now. I don't think I do anything special. I'll have to check it out.

Btw, great program!!!

Even with MOTD disabled and minimize to tray enabled, Newsbin still opens full screen. Any tips?
