NB Locking up when "Locking out" posters

Happened a few times now. I'm running 6.53 Build 3311, and when I highlight a whole pile of junk posts (the ones that look like GVrpJCYp7...... - File 01 of 16) and right click, then "Lock out Posters"... Newsbin hangs..... and I have to close down and start again - the posts have been deleted and the posters added to the "Locked out Posters", but this hanging up is a pain...

Any thoughts?

How big is "posterlockout.txt" in the data folder?

Just 19Kb

I'm thinking I shouldn't bother adding these posters anyway - I'm sure they change the random name every day...

Yeah, I've stopped using it. I use "Delete posts by poster" but even that's less effective these days. Size filters typically do a good job of it.

I'm going to try to reproduce this too. If it fails for me, I can fix it.

Were you able to reproduce this?

I posted a question about this issue back on August 21st.

It is still happening.

I have to lock out posters one at a time or the GUI locks up, requiring task manager to exit.

Ditto what jeffpurser said here (though I can't find record of my post, so perhaps I dreamed it), also my PosterLockout.txt file is only 33k (ditto the backup file). Unfortunately now that the (l)users are posting 100+ meg files size lockouts don't work terribly well.

Thanks!
