Can't Use Existing Folders

I am running V6 64-bit on Win7 Ultimate. When I open an NZB and use Right Click -> Download to Existing Folder... I am given a "Save As" window that wants a folder name and will browse into any existing folder, only saving to a folder that doesn't exist (which, by definition, is not an existing folder). This behavior is identical to the Right Click -> Download to New Folder option. Additionally, when I Right Click -> Assign a New Path in the Downloading Files tab, I experience this same behavior.

In V5 32-bit on WinXP Pro, both of these options would give a folder browsing window instead of a Save As window, and I could select an existing folder and click OK to assign it. That window had a "New Folder" button for creating new folders after browsing to existing paths.

I originally experienced the new (and less ideal) behavior on v6.51, but just upgraded to v6.53 and am still experiencing it. I didn't see anything in searching that would indicate this is a known issue, so I thought I should report it.

It occurs to me that this could only be a problem in the 64-bit version or this change could have been intentional to allow saving to hidden network shares that are not mapped drives if someone requested that ability because they couldn't browse to them using the old folder selection window, but it should certainly still be possible to save to an existing folder, and it seems like it would have been possible to add a browse button or type-in path field in the folder selection window, although it should also be possible to use the new Save As window to select an existing folder after browsing into it by hitting save while the File Name section is blank.

Pretty sure you just enter the existing folder you want and hit OK. I'll try it here. It's not changed recently.

I tried again and it is working for me so long as I don't delete the default text. Maybe I was consistently deleting the default text and that was causing the problem.

Most likely. By changing it, you're telling Newsbin "I want a folder named for the changed text".
