NBP keeps locking *.nb2-files

NBP keeps locking *.nb2-files

Postby Scuttle » Sat Jul 26, 2014 7:51 am

I start to download something, be it from a nzb, from a search of from browsing a group.

Halfway through the download I change my mind and delete the download from the "Downloading files" tab.

All the downloaded files are deleted, but left are, usually, a bunch of *.nb2-files that looks like half-downloaded files or something. The files are locked by newsbinpro64.exe and can not be deleted, moved, copied or even opened.

The only way to get rid of the files is to restart Newsbin. If I close Newsbin, the files are still there, but they can now be deleted...

Please...fix

You're not using the latest version are you? Newsbin doesn't use NB2's like that anymore. These days the NB2's only last for 1/2 second while the file is assembled, then renamed.

Ah, I was using 6.51, but didn't notice there was a newer build of it.
