AutoPAR and Completion Percentage

Using Newsbin v6.51 final and downloading headers.
The vast majority of file sets with pars that I download are 100% complete or infrequently slightly less so I've always handled them manually. Now I'm coming across sets with much lower completion so I turned on AutoPAR (but not UnRAR) and am adding the unexpanded sets to the download list. I thought I remembered reading in this forum that Newsbin can estimate whether or not it should be able to repair the set. If Newsbin can do this estimation, does it do so from the headers or does it have to download the files first then start downloading the PARs. I'm hoping to be able to get an idea of which sets are worth trying without downloading many megabytes of unusable data.

If you "Test" the download you can get a raw percentage that represents downloadability. If you're missing much more than 10% you might want to think twice about attempting to download.

Test mode is in the right click menu.

Thanks. That is what I was looking for. Since nearly everything was at about 100%, I never paid much attention to discussions of "Test".

I'm still getting mostly 100% on newish stuff. If completion is bad on new stuff, you might want to explore using a different server.
