Apparently this is a problem with the unRAR library that Newsbin uses and is not easily fixable.

The easiest thing to do is to always make sure you have enough free spae before starting an unRAR. To facilitate this you can change the limits at which Newsbin pops up the error message about short of space as documented at http://help.newsbin.com/index.php/V600- ... ace_Limits.

ah thats not good news man, hope it can be fixed

popup about low space is no good for me unfortunately. I need Newsbin to attempt to unrar and keep the original RARs if it fails.

It is not a fix, but increasing the trigger level to be more than the largest file you will unRAR should be a good way to stop the unRar failing due to lack of space. As such it is a good. Avoidance action.

You can turn on "Delete to Recycle Bin" too.
