It seems like in the past few months the spammers are getting around the spam detection in Newsbin. They create a passworded, segmented RAR, then they create a non passworded RAR out of that. I have had several completely download before Newbin realizes whats happening.

If you think this shouldn't be happening I suppose I could do a complete reinstall of Newsbin to make sure I haven't messed up any settings.

If you're not running the latest 6.51B5 version then you don't have the latest spam detection. I'd upgrade to it.

I'd also make sure to uncheck "Folder Dup Bypass" in the advanced options. Just got a new bug report that suggests this option can cause files to miss the spam filter.

I did upgrade to the latest beta right after I had asked for help. It is working much better.
