Current Progress = RED .. almost all the time

I have been having problems downloading binaries in all groups. I am using NEWSBIN for years and this is the 2nd time I'm having problems. Last time, it cleared up by itself, but this time, it's going on for a month now. Under current progress, the download is in RED. It moves at Kbps and I never get the binary. Is this some sort of setting? the posts are of all types and ages. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I did reinstall to try and fix the problem, but to no avail.. also shut off Norton, and maxed out my post age.

What news server are you using? Most of the time RED means the server is denying having parts of the file. You'll see 430 errors in the logging tab, if that's what's happening. You might want to try a different server. You might want to try downloading something that's very new too.

Giganew's lowest tier is only good for files less than 30 days old. Just throwing that out there in case it applies.
