Save downloads for each NZB into named folder

I have been using Newsbin pro for a few years. But i wouldn't describe myself as a 'power user' of it, I just use for what I need it to do. I recently had to rebuild my PC (win7pro 64 bit) and re-install the software (v6.5 build 3126) and am struggling with how to restore one of the options I had before.

Previously, I would load an NZB and based on the name of the NZB, NBP would create one folder and dump all the downloaded files, pars, rars etc in it for me, so I can find stuff easily and use quickpar as necessary where autopar had failed.

I just can't get the current version to do this, I have tried umpteen different options. Yesterday I downloaded some MP3 files from one nzb and NBP put each seperate mp3 file into a seperate nested folder 3 layers down! mad.. i don't know what's happening, please help..

What doesn't it do this by default like it use to?

Thanks

1 - In the options, where it says "Main Download Path" click "Change" then double-click "$(NZBFILE)" to add it to the download path.

The path should be "C:\bla bla bla\$(NZBFILE)\" when you're done.

2 - If the RARS contain a path, this path is used during the unrar too. You need to look inside the rar and see if it has paths. If it does, then "3 layers deep" is how the poster posted it.

Thanks for your help, to be honest I thought I had already tried that.

Maybe I was having a moment - anyway at least it is putting stuff together now.

Cheers

It only applies to things you add to the download list AFTER you make the change. Anything already in the download list already has the path set.
