what is the correct way to get my Group Tab on the left side, and not on the top... I had it there once, but cant get it over there....Thanks

Make sure the lock isn't clicked on the toolbar.

Then click on the tab itself. I mean the little extension of the window that looks like a tab. Drag the tab to the left border and you should see a little icon appear about 1/2 way from the top and bottom. Drop the tab on this icon.

I have my groups tab set to "auto-hide" too.
