Custom Lists: Cannot store headers to same

I am using ver. 6.5 (3126) on a windows 8.1 pro machine. I am trying to save a list of headers that resulted from a search. The program seems to be processing the request, i.e., a progress bar appears and takes some considerable time to complete. When I go to review the list of headers in the newly created custom list, it appears empty. Any ideas on how to figure out what is going on here would be greatly appreciated.

You have a search account? I wonder if it's silently failing because of an account issue.
