6.50RC3 breaking down and creating garbage

Good news - RC2 seems to work fine!

I was using RC3 (64-bit) for some time until it disappeared suddenly. After restarting - keeps closing every time - a windows dialog keeps appearing informing that Newsbin is stopping.
I then started RC2 which worked just fine.
After a while I switched back to RC3 - working fine too. So far.

I suppose, some specific download was causing the problem, I should have caught which one.
But still, better look out for similar issues.

Also, I noticed that the free space on the drive with NBData is being gradually consumed even when no new headers are downloaded.
It seems that Chunks folder keeps growing and growing. Even when the stuff is downloaded and no longer in the download list, (some of?) related chunks remain not deleted.
In less than a day I got 16 GB of such orphan chunks that I deleted manually because the related downloads were already completed successfully.
The stopping of Newsbin was not caused by deleting of those chunks - I deleted them later, after the forced episode with RC2, but I noticed those growing chunks earlier, before the episode with RC2.
All that garbage was created with RC3 and not before - it was clear from the dates of the files.

So two issues.
Both issues occurred with AutoPar disabled. I was using RC3 with AutoPar enabled too, no problems detected.
But those issues perhaps might be related to particular posts rather than to the enabling/disabling of AutoPar - not for me to judge.

Sorry for not providing more specific data, like specific posts. I should have thought about it earlier...

UPDATE:
stopped working again - this time with AutoPar enabled. I think I had enough. Going back to RC2 until RC4.

Chunks do keep growing - it keeps partial downloads there for incomplete downloads so next time you restart if you pick up the download you don't need to start over. The chunks get purged after a period of time. I wouldn't describe them as orphaned, users would be upset about wasted re-downloads if it didn't exist. If you download a whole bunch of incomplete or partial posts, sure, it can get big, but it will clean out eventually. It's one of those usage things - if you download a lot of posts, make sure you leave plenty of room.

Certainly haven't seen any crashing (which I think is what you're describing), if one release does it more than another, first thing I point my finger at is antivirus interfering, any extreme usage aside, so ensure you've eliminated that possibility.

As to the chunks, I called them orphaned because there were no corresponding incomplete downloads left in the download list.

As to the crashes. I'm not sure - could it be that my antivirus is interfering with RC3 but not with RC2? Unlikely.
My antivirus is ESET Smart Security (i.e. NOD32) 6.0.316.
Its various separate program modules are updated periodically just like virus definitions, so I rarely check for new overall versions, but now I checked and I see that version 7.0.302.26 is available.
I don't expect that it will change anything (unless maybe for worse) but I will try it.

RC4 is up. If apparently fixes a crash that happens when certain network errors happen. It never crashed for me so, it was sort of code and pray.

the problem I had with RC3 seems to have been related to particular file or files in the download list, at the time at the top position, not network errors. Once I downloaded them with RC2, also RC3 was no longer breaking.
