Automarking posts on new pull?

Postby crosgrove » Sat Oct 26, 2013 11:27 pm

OK, I did try to sort through this myself. (Fresh install on newer machine.)

I pull headers once every few days, it helps of the old headers are marked as read when I load in the group and new headers. Is there a way so this basically happens:

1. New posts get pulled in and are marked new
2. I close the group
3. I open the group again and
3. Old posts are marked old and the posts being pulled now are marked new

My old version did that, and I just can't figure out how to do it again...

Thanks in advance :)

It's not completely clear what you mean by 'pulled in', but if you mean you did a Show Posts, then you can go to Options/Switches and enable Auto-Mark Old, so each time you Show posts the headers are marked as old as they are opened up. The next time you Show Posts, they will be old.

It emulates what version 4 used to do by default, I'm guessing that's what you're coming from...
