I've got both Giganews and Usenet accounts load-sharing - no headers from Giganews. All works fine when I run full speed, but when I set speed limiter, I get duplicates (5%-20%). I'm sure it's operator error - so what knob do I need to tweak?

Not really sure how this would happen. I'll have to think about it. Sounds like a timing problem of some sort. Be interesting to know if this happens in the current betas.

The new beta of 6.50B14 build 2927 32 bit seems to not have the duplication problem so far. The 64 bit multicore had some serious problems hanging after loading new headers when I tried to download a single attached file. I killed it after 5 minutes of no activity.
The beta does seem a lot slower on sorting headers on big newsgroups and newsbin groups of multi newsgroups
I'm running an HP Pavilion with AMD Phenom II 840T quad core and the install thought it was a single core. When asked, I chose the option to go multicore even though the installer didn't see multicores. (There's a note that some AMD multicore chips may not be recognized as such - I assumed that meant tell the installer the truth and go multicore install - right?)

Yeah, the installer can't detect multicore AMD processors. Force it to Multicore and it should be ok although some multicore AMD's do seem to have problems with the multicore PAR DLL. If you can download RAR sets that require repair and they repair fine then unrar fine then, you are probably ok.
