Re-installing with 64-bit - can I copy previous settings?

I'm completely reinstalling my PC from scratch, this time with Win7 64-bit. So I've installed Newsbin 64-bit. Is there any way for me to migrate all of my settings from my previous 32-bit installation? There are basic settings like the server names/logins/passwords, directory locations and whatnot, but also probably a lot of options that I tweaked long ago and forgot about. I'd hate to have to do all that research again.

Yes, just copy your .nbi file over then edit the file with a text editor, like Notepad, and change the Data Folder to point to wherever you want it to be on your new system. The default XP data folder will become readonly on Win7 so you'll want to change that. Once you have the .nbi file set the way you want, save it then double-click on it to launch Newsbin using those settings. You won't have to touch it again after that.

Excellent - thanks!
I probably won't have to make any changes to the nbi file, as I plan to have everything identical to what it was before. Unless there are settings that point to windows user system areas like C:\documents and settings\All users\...

If you are switching from XP to Win7 or Win8, the default data folder location will be different.
Before you move the old .nbi over, go into Newsbin under Options/Setup then click the Open Data Folder button. Take note of that folder location and plug that in to the old .nbi file.

XP to Win7.

Too late.
But as far as I can tell, things are working properly. A couple things I'm a little confused about Re: version 6, but I'll try to figure them out or ask in a different thread.
