6.42: 00 64 DB D3 27 32 Auto load nzb

Postby cunny » Mon Jul 22, 2013 4:54 am

Hi Guys

Just installed above version i see the autoload feature of newsbin has changed.
I have set the paths to autoload no problem, however there used to be atick box for creating folders as in the name of nzb file so that all downloads were in seperate folders instead of just populating a desiugnated folder and all mixed.

Could someone point me in the direction of this feature in the newer builds, or provide a link for older version that supports this

Thanks

The system has changed to a more flexible one that allows for variables that are substituted at runtime to be specified.

If you go to where the Download path is specified under Options and click on the Change button you get offered a list of the variables that are currently possible. For instance the variable for including the NZB filename is called $(NZBFILE). The same approach is available anywhere else paths can be specified.

I will look at it see if I can get it to create each folder for each nzb file

For I stance downloads\nzbfilenamefolder I stead of just populating the downloads folder with all the files it pulls dow

Thanks

Well i cant see how to set this upcorrectly.

It used to be set up to create a new folder per nzb file, which made easier manging the downloads.

For instance i set the watch foler for downloaded nzb's to user docs/downloads (works fine)
The downloaded files goto E:\Downloads then used to have another filder within the path for the nzb file name then the downloaded files would be there.

There is no option for this now.

Thanks

This is done using a more flexible system than the old checkbox based approach. If you go to the main Options page where download path is set and click on the Change button you will be given a list of variables that can be included in the path. Using $(NZBFILE) should give you want. Similar approach is ow used wherever paths can be set.

It's documented here: http://help.newsbin.com/index.php/V640_Pathing

Keep in mind that any changes to the download path may not be reflected in any files already queued for download depending on the path variable. All files queued for download after the path is assigned will make use of the changed path.
