download to existing folder truncates directory names...

When I right click 'download to existing folder', the directory names under my newsbin download folder are truncated (always at a '.'). This means many folders with the same name: a.b, a.b, a.b, a.b.sounds, a.b.sounds, ...

For example, the folder H:\Downloads\NewsBin\a.b.sounds.mp3.complete_cd, is displayed as a.b.sounds.mp3; if I select the short name it returns the incorrect truncated name into the directory selection box.

BTW: 6.50.b12 and I have not seen this behavior before.

Hmm, that shouldn't happen. I just tested that group with the download setting:

C:\Users\me\Downloads\$(GROUP)\

and the results were put in:

C:\Users\me\Downloads\a.b.sounds.mp3.complete_cd\

Is your download path similar to mine? Try just doing downloads from one group at a time. If you inadvertently used $(GOG), that will stuff all the results from all the groups that are in that custom group of groups(GOG) to the same locale.

Where do you see it truncated, in the download list or in the folder picker itself?

Hmm, I misunderstood you. I did try downloading to existing folder with the group you mentioned and it worked fine, both the old and new style folder picker. Win 7 here - any chance you're on XP?

My bad. Several restarts of newsbin did not resolve the issue, but a reboot did. Thx
